Learning activities in the Yuna app

Start with the question they are working on

Open Homework Helper and choose a clear photo of the problem. Keep names, school details and unrelated information out of the image. Yuna uses the question to offer coaching and steps that the child can work through. Ask the child to explain their thinking as they go, rather than copying a response into their schoolwork.

Guidance for learning

Homework Helper is designed to help a child understand the method. If an explanation is confusing, work through it with a parent or teacher and compare it with the approach taught at school. AI can misread a photo, misunderstand a question or make an error. Yuna does not guarantee correct answers, grades or educational outcomes.

Keep practising with Yuna Learn

Alongside Homework Helper, Yuna includes short lessons, quizzes and learning activities. Subjects include maths, English, science, animals, the world, art and feelings. A family might use a question as the starting point for a brief practice session, then return to the original task and let the child try again.

Parent controls and learning at home

Grown-ups can review Yuna activity and use the parent controls to set boundaries. Premium Plus includes Homeschool Planner for families arranging learning at home. Yuna is a family app: it does not offer a school account, class dashboard or school licence. Parents and teachers remain responsible for choosing suitable activities and following school rules about AI use.

Questions from parents

Can children photograph a homework question?

Yes. Homework Helper accepts a deliberately chosen photo and is designed to coach the child through the problem. A grown-up should help remove personal information from the image and check the explanation.

Is Yuna an automatic homework answer service?

Homework Helper is designed for step-by-step guidance and understanding. Children should do their own work, and a parent or teacher should check AI explanations when needed.

Can parents see what their child does in Yuna?

The grown-up area lets parents review Yuna conversations, creations and activity and manage the available controls. See the parents page for the current safety, privacy and cost details.

Does Yuna replace a teacher or a home education curriculum?

No. Yuna offers learning activities and planning tools for families. It does not replace a teacher, parental supervision or a family’s responsibility to choose and assess their child’s education.
